AN IMAGINED REALITY
BASED ON WORDS AND PHRASES FROM OUR INDIVIDUAL EXHIBITS

1
Enticed by the scent of a peeling creature,
Divine in its burrow of blurs, burying and blasphemy,
The dangers of the creature condemn me,
Bliss in the ever-present, permeating unknown.
You trickle like the blood of misogyny, seeping into my life,
Engraving your name on a bedpost,
Forever aching for a false reality,
Empowering us.
Our pleasure is not a commodity to be bought,
Marching through streets,
Walking through alleys,
Swimming through sorrow,
A woman free,
An imagined reality.

2
My destination is rich with history and curated memories,
Distant but ever forthcoming,
Always imagining and constructing false realities,
Yearning for more.
Growing and shifting, grappling at my heart,
A utopian body.
Singing the song of artistic treasures,
Dancing in the bask of the glory.
The corners of my lips twitch,
A hazy fleeting glimpse of my radiant mother,
Infinity in the dream of a better reality,
An imagined reality.
A while before I sleep, and sleep, I will, for a while.
